The ingredients are all pungent, and they’re all native to India: Ginger root, Pippali (Long Pepper), and Black Pepper. Each herb is thought to positively impact the body’s three doshas. In Ayurveda, doshas are elemental forces believed to permeate body, mind, and spirit. Trikatu has been used in Ayurveda for thousands of years for various benefits.
Trikatu consists of the three pungent spices generally in equal proportions. Numerous references in well-respected Ayurvedic texts make clear that Trikatu is revered as a multiuse ayurvedic supplement. Trikatu powder is pungent and warming.
DR WAKDE’S Trikatu is available in supplement form, as a powder and as a capsule. The powder is available in 100g glass bottles & 500g pouches. The powder is meant to be dissolved in warm water and consumed as a tea. Trikatu have a spicy hot taste, it can be mixed with honey with better effects.
Triphala supplement has varying daily dosages based upon the requirements. The powder can be taken normally in the dosage of 1 to 2 teaspoon with warm water, once or twice daily. Trikatu may be most effective when taken before meals. Some people prefer to take this supplement on an empty stomach, while others prefer to take it with food.
